The world is facing multiple economic, social, and environmental threats, best characterized by a “bubble”

catastrophically, unless they are addressed urgently and in an integrated fashion, by making development more sustainable. Piecemeal responses will be ineffective, since the problems are

The ability of Europe to find a common position on climate change (despite its diversity), would
serve as an encouraging example to the rest of the world, striving to reach a consensus.
